Our mission is to support Alabama educators and students in learning STEM by doing STEM.
Purpose of AMSTI Sites
The purpose of an AMSTI site is to provide professional learning, pedagogical support and coaching, and instructional materials for teachers in schools within its defined geographical region.
Essential Services
AMSTI sites provide the following three essential services to local schools that participate in the initiative, thereby enabling teachers to teach in a manner that will improve student achievement in math and science using appropriate Digital Literacy and Computer Science skills:

Professional learning, including Foundational Training, based on math and science standards with instructional strategies.

Instructional materials, including resources, supplies, and equipment needed for teachers to implement the instructional modules and strategies promoted by AMSTI with their students.

On-going educator support and mentoring throughout the year based on student-centered coaching, including on-site support that enables teachers to improve their instructional skills. Support is customized by the district as outlined in its AMSTI Professional Learning Support Plan (PLSP).
